Wild pork is much tastier than farm raised pork. There is no season or bag limit on them in most states. You just have to be willing to put the effort in to have all the meat you desire.

Reminds me of those recent stories about African swine fever in wild boars… Maybe they’ll make up a reason we need protection from them.
We eliminated over 70 of them on our ranch over a 4 year period and finally have only 2 that we trapped as piglets, now semi-tame that we feed every day. Sows with piglets have attacked us while we are driving in a side-by-side and boars (smell terrible) tear through a fence like it is nothing. If you kill a sow with piglets, another sow will raise them. They breed as young as 7-8 months and have at least two litters of 6-10 piglets. You don’t dare walk anywhere with large groups of wild hogs (boars are male, btw) unless you are carrying a weapon and you need to know where to shoot. We found several boars with high caliber shot wedged in their skulls after we were able to finally eliminate them.
I thought wild boars were pretty dangerous… I didn’t phrase my comment very well. I meant to suggest that the Agenda 21 crowd might use animal-borne disease (real, fake, or created by them) as an excuse to get people off the land and into cities. So they can say, “For public health reasons, humans can no longer live in such-and-such rural area due to animal disease X, which could jump to humans and cause another pandemic.” I can see them using the excuse “we need to protect animal habitat from humans” just as well as the opposite, “we need to protect humans from animals and their diseases.”
