Sounds like this guy got the Soros memo from Mad Madam Merkel–the one about how you deal with the ageing of your population by inviting in tons of poor, uneducated young people from other places. Because that’s worked out so well for other countries that don’t have a long history of mass immigration (like just about every country in Europe).
I really find this surprising, given that Japan has a strong, distinctive culture it has always been very attached to, and that Japan (like China) has always rejected the idea of allowing lots of foreigners to settle within its borders.
The globalist assault on the world is never-ending. Not sure how much more of this I can take. Any time it feels like this worldview/ideology is getting pushback it just rears its ugly head again. This is exhausting.
Sickening! This path to global communism is certainly moving at an alarming rate. Now that the US elections are over I don’t like it all how happy and cheery the media sound when speaking about “the cadaver’s” win. Horrid.
Nearly all the movers, shakers, and monied elites of the Western world, and a lot of the left, has bought into and heavily invested in this ideology. It’s not going away anytime soon. No point in stressing over it. The possible counterbalance is pushback from the people.

The headline might as well read, “Japanese Foreign Minister Announces Plan To Pee Into the Wind”! There is no doubt that Japan’s ageing population and its low (and falling) birth rate are putting the economy under pressure. It is already difficult to hire good staff, and there have already been changes to immigration legislation to allow more foreign workers (eg, https://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2018/12/07/national/politics-diplomacy/japan-set-enact-controversial-immigration-bill-paving-way-foreign-worker-influx/), but a diverse, multi-ethnic society? Probably not. Most Japanese would probably be willing to try modernising the labor market plus exploiting Japanese robotics and automation technologies to ease labor shortages before they would be willing to try mass immigration. Although many outside Japan see the country as high-tech and first world, it is in fact not only deeply conservative but in some respects quite backward (compared with Europe/North America and even urban China), especially in the hinterland beyond Tokyo – and perhaps that will be its salvation?
