It would have been a lot easier for SCOTUS to hear the case but everything changes on December 18th with the 2018 EO regarding foreign interference in elections. Here is an explanation.

Jan 6th is when all the electoral votes have to be in. Any state that doesn’t get their vote in, is not counted. But yeah, from here through to Jan 20th will be? Interesting? If your into that sort of thing, I guess.
