      I feel bad for the UK… When I lived there, I got the feeling that Christmas was the one traditional holiday left in the year that still had true, deep cultural significance to the British. It’s not just another “bank holiday” (as several other legal holidays there are called).

      I think this is a very wicked form of social engineering, and I hope Britons ignore BoJo, Matt Hancock, and the other government clowns. After all, this virus is likely to keep mutating forever, isn’t it? Isn’t that what viruses normally do? I honestly think fewer people are going to keep going along with these arbitrary rules. I hope people will go about their Christmas as they see fit!

        Yes, the UK government appears to have taken leave of its senses. Gates seems to have the government and its “scientists” under his control and, so far, the Brits are letting it happen.

          Agree with Fiat and Fog. We like to watch British shows and enjoy the intelligent dialog and the customs and culture. Now, keep thinking of what has been lost in the UK. In shows with many seasons, we notice the gradual decline into the strangeness of now.
