South Africa is destroying itself.
The government just criminalised the sale of alcohol.
Reason: trauma cases taking hospital beds. (Also?!? Black market ties. Huge black market. Qui Bono?
All beaches are closed.
Additionally no swimming allowed in ocean, rivers or lakes.
Reason: none given.
Casinos remain open with numbers managed.
Funerals limited to 50.
Marriages limited to 5.
Students remains home till further notice.
Only 18 border posts allowed open for trans Africa trade.
Note: Zimbabwe has virtually shut down.
Government here challenging high court ruling that banning tobacco earlier for 5 months was unconstitutional.
We are all expecting tobaccos ban announcement on Friday.
Reason: Our highly intelligent minister argues that poor people will share a cigarette and, therefore, will spread COVID.
Her filing ignores French and Chinese studies showing smokers less likely to be infected with COVID.
Real reason?? Last time South Africa, which already has one of the world’s largest illicit tobacco trades, exploded into a huge black market with us puffers paying exorbitant prices.
Certain government ministers are well known to be “friendly” with known big black market players.

Oh and now Pfizer is offering discounted rates to the government here, if they purchase their wonder weapon!
I honestly don’t know how this economy will survive especially as we expect even more draconian measures to be announced Friday.
I forgot to mention that even now, all businesses that are allowed to open must close by 8 pm.
We have a military curfew from 9pm to 6 am.
We are just carrying on.

I know that the WHO and the Gates foundation have major influences here.
I also noticed a couple weeks ago that the Rockefellers purchased a large stake in one of South Africa’s food distribution companies.
Oh…apparently the WHO provides SA with all anti HIV meds.
