    On the issue of aspiring Nazi politicians in Australia and N. Zealand, Giza member Gordon White (on one of his Rune Soup podcasts) has an interesting take: there is a “cosmic DNA” imprinting at work, a sort of morphogenic field, deriving from the origins of Oz as a prison colony; N. Zealand was actually set up by a police force from Australia. This means that the members of the political class naturally aspire to the role of Supreme Policeman, and are genuinely surprised when anybody criticises them….

      There’s no doubt history produces waves on the ether of time (so to speak) that ripple on into the present.
