Sorry for the repost if you’re seeing it, the “post wiper” was at it again… What is that we are doing to take back not only our Culture but our Civilization? We click, scroll, and post, click, scroll, and post. We elevate our blood pressures. We send toxins of anxiety throughout our bloodstreams. We throw our hands up, and maybe even the very devices we are holding. We tend to self alienate and then complain about being alienated. We posit immediate doom while at the same time posit no remedy. They haven’t changed us, we’ve allowed ourselves to be changed. We are just as responsible as “those” who are supposedly the culprits. I have been guilty of this myself, no doubt. But no longer am I willing to be a passive observer of our allowed destruction. We all must get some skin in the game. For myself, personally, I’m going back to school for English. It’s been a dream of mine for some time. And I’m now more than ever tired of complaining about the Humanities and the like and figured it’s time to re-infiltrate our higher institutions. Maybe it is a lost cause, but I’ll never truly know unless I try. Why sit by and do nothing but read about it, post about it, and b@tch about it? Of course I’ve heard this already… “Dude, it’s a lost cause.” Well, maybe from your perspective, but not from mine. I refuse to relent. And if I/We do nothing about it then it will be a lost cause, undoubtedly! At this point I’m ready to get another degree and even start my own school if it comes to that, accredited or not. Further, I’ll attempt to teach, I’ll start a home school if need be, out in the middle of the woods if need be, with sticks, flat stones and pine cones if need be. I’ve had it! Much like the rest of you, I’m sure. But we here at Giza are too smart, too intuitive, and too cultured to let these Cartesian half-wits get away with this while the best of our Society, You and Me, the Meritocracy of all Aristocracies, sits idly by secluded in our personal libraries of profound insight. It’s time to get some skin BACK in the game. Rant over.

    • Right on brother well said. Let’s go everyone. What’s your plan? Mine? Let me think about one. When I get off my butt I let you know.

      • Excellent point. As for me, health permitting:
        – Move to someplace where: (a) there are more like-minded people; (b) in-person networking is more feasible; and (c) influencing local government is more realistic.
        – At some point, write and publish books.
        – Possibly teach/tutor remotely in the areas of English, French, grammar, or writing; provide assistance in those subjects to parents who homeschool their children.
        – Do volunteer work to help those involved in CV-related lawsuits.
        – Get past beginner-level piano…

        • I was listening to a waltz while doing my cleaning. Best motivational music if you’re doing brain dead things and you need a beat.

          • I can’t agree more. I hope everyone understands this type of thing is what I mean by “owning the culture”.

            • lol … totally, Voxi

              • Real change can only come one soul at a time. We can and must take personal responsibility for ourselves, let go of the past, live in the moment and, from that moment, create the next moment. Not easy, but simple. And powerful.
