A useful article from ActivistPost concerning ‘smart’ televisions. If you haven’t thrown yours out yet or have loved ones that won’t, this article has some mitigation suggestions.

  That’s a great in-depth article with lots of links and sources, thanks for sharing! The Vault 7 documents from Wikileaks showing how the CIA was using Samsung smart televisions to eavesdrop was illuminating. They developed a program called “Weeping Angel” to turn on the microphone of a Samsung smart TV even while the TV itself was “off.”

  Did not read all the ‘links’, but what was the ‘best’ way to defeat it’s most insidious aspects? Thanks for any suggestions.

      I appreciate the suggestion, but I stopped watching, or even having one of those ‘things’ in my presence many, many, many years ago! So, I recommend everyone do the same!!! …just sayin’
