  Very useful. Thanks very much, Dana. Despite having a reputation for high tech, traditional crafts are very widely practised in Japan, both professionally and as hobbies, by people of all ages. “Cash only” is also common. Ahriman and the technocrats/transhumanists must be fuming in The Cloud!

  Thanks for the link. Watching traditional Japanese woodworking was what inspired me to change my life and choose a new path. I’ll have to dig through that directory and see what’s on offer.

  If you have tv and NHK in your international news channels, they often have ‘cultural interest’ programs running. They had a brilliant series on the different styles of pottery that were practised in different prefectures.
