    Also if Biden swearing into the office has ended before 12pm he is not legitimate POTUS. Then at noon, when Trump resigned, who is in charge? CofG- military hunt? Jus thinking at loud any takes dear gizars?

      I was under the impression that presidents do not actually have to resign formally but that their term of office is deemed to have expired upon the accession of the elected successor. I don’t claim to have made an in-depth study of the succession issue, but could the last-minute attempt to impeach Trump be a response to some technicalities that had certain parties worried?
