      Those of us who were incredibly luck to be old enough now and in the right place, had the luck of having Leonard Bernstein come too our local symphony (Cincinnati, for me while I was in grade school) and I will never not see sitting in the seat watching our Cincinnati orchestra demonstrate the instruments, the sections he put together to let us understand the integration of harmony, of tonal quality, of music, and finally the pieces of classical music with which he filled us. My grandmother graduated in piano from Oberlin in 1903 and despite the years of hearing her and my mother on our piano, I will never lose the sound of Leonard Bernstein.

      Thank you, Winston1984, for reminding us of the genius that has also motivated the brilliance of the man who brings us all here, together.
