Clif High’s woonomics and aether physics. The only book N. Tesla was ever photographed with was “The Theory of Natural Philosophy” by Ruggero Boscovich….

    • Someone pointed out some time ago that the photo of Tesla with a book that we have seen so many times was taken sometime at the end of the 19th century whereas the the English translation of Boscovich was published in 1922… hmm, time machine???

        • Tesla and Boscovich were both Croatian. Is English relevant?

          • Tesla read Latin.

              • Maybe he did, but did he read Boscovich, and if so what Edition? I think Clif High got his inspiration from Ken Wheeler. This video makes the flawed connection between the 1890’s picture and the 1922 edition:

This Serb professor has looked into the matter:

I can’t say that I know the TRUTH on this but it’s not as easy and clearcut as made out to be.

There were at least 3 editions of the work in its original latin. It’s interesting to note that the first one was in Vienna, the second in Venice and the third again in Vienna. The first translation from Latin was the 1922 English translation. As for his languages he was said to speak Italian, German, French and English as well a Croat. An interesting man to say the least!

            • Living In Data by Jer Thorp will be published in May and speaks to this “data”. In fact, it goes back to Latin, “a thing given, a gift delivered or sent”. In a nut shell data went from being a thing of God and mathematics to a collection of bits and bytes.
Data is an artifact of the moment of measurement; as much a record of the human doing the measurement, as of the thing being measured.
The problem herein, w/language and datas of words is that, in todays world, much of that data is bering driven by AI/algorithms. In fact, stories are being generated by AI.
So his measurements are going to be somewhat skewed.
I haven’t listened yet; but have saved it for later.
              Thanks for the link.
