One could utter such platitudes as ‘the situation has been developing for years’ and that ‘the policies enacted where actually broadly accepted across many states and other countries’ and ‘the decisions were more concerned about public perception rather than public safety, let alone actually providing electricity to its customers’…
…How could we know?
Unfortunately, we don’t seem to be living in a world where critical infrastructure will be managed by serious people and I can now affirm that ONLY AFTER A FEW MONTHS OF CALIFORNIANS ESCAPING FROM THE HELL THEY CREATED FOR THEMSELVES, HAVE THEY TURNED THEIR NEW HOME INTO A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY.

Also, Texas is the only state that had its own independent grid. I wonder how long that is going to last now.
