    Facebook spins up a new climate change “mythbusting section” and plans to add “labels” to individual user’s posts. And what will Facebook consider the arbiter of truth? Of course the UN Environment Programme.

      Facebook has turned into such a joke. It’s just one narrative control/echo chamber game after another, it’s not like that’s something new but it’s really getting old. A mentality that seems to have infiltrated just about everywhere.

          Do many people take the warning labels and “fact checkers” seriously? Actually, how anyone can take any statement from FB, YT, or the Blue Bird as anything but propaganda or obfuscation is beyond me.

              I have family who believe EVERYTHING from CNN and FB and all the rest. They dutifully wear their masks outdoors and are getting their gene modification treatments. They trust authority. And there are lots of people just like them where I live.
              It’s rather disheartening.

                  I guess I’m even more out of touch than I thought. The mask enthusiasts around me should’ve been my clue… I just assumed people around here were particularly conformist or uninformed–plus, the medical industry is huge here, which fuels the hysteria.

                  Of the two people closest to me, one is elderly and just got jab #1 of 2 a few days ago; the other will buckle and take one, I’m sure, if it’s required to travel. I was upset for a while, but I’ve now accepted it, come what may. I’m not one for traditional prayers, but “Grant me the serenity to accept that things I can’t change” has helped. I hope you don’t get too disheartened.
