    Question: how does a body of water that large cool down so fast? Was it already cooling for some time beforehand?Is this another exagerated ploy by the climate change crowd?

      Good question…

      It’s a tangent, but I wonder if there were stories like this of heroic efforts to bring homeless or otherwise heat-less humans into convention centers to raise their core temperatures before they went into hypothermia. Well, no matter–it’s just humans. Part of the “excess population,” as our Malthusian masters would say. (Don’t get me wrong… I love animals. I just wish there was more respect for human life too.)
