Hello boys, girls and all of you who have absolutely no idea of who, what, or even where your actual or virtual existence might be at this point in time. Please join me in singing Mr. Abbott’s Neighborhood.
This is to be sung to the tune of Mr. Rogers’s (or Rogers’ – which ever confused grammar / punctuation you prefer) ”It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood”)

    Mr. Abbott’s Neighborhood

It’s a dark, cold day in The Lone Star State.
It’s a dark, cold day in this neighborhood.
A dark, cold day for a neighbor.
Would you be my dark, cold neighbor?
Could you be my dark, cold neighbor?

It’s a unneighborly day in this once beautiful state.
But now a unneighborly day for masks and distancing.
Would you be my dark, cold neighbor?
Could you be my dark, cold neighbor?

… Well, you get the idea …

Isn’t it a beautiful day for huddling together under a government blanket (careful, it could have smallpox – I know this is a debatable claim, just using it for effect) and share a high protein, amphetamine infused, bland, room temperature, surplus Desert Storm MRE, a nice big hunk of chemically preserved government cheese, all washed down with a microplastic, fluoride, lead infused bottle of government water.
    Sure it is.
Now boys, girls, and undecidables can you say son of ENRON? Good, I knew you could.

“D’Andrea, now serving as chair, said repricing was “dangerous” because it could potentially cause new problems for customers and electricity providers who made a series of complex, private transactions outside of the official power market.”

    but wait, there’s more …

“It’s nearly impossible to unscramble this sort of egg, and the results of going down this path are unknowable,” D’Andrea said. “We’ve already set a path, we know who is hurt by that and we can focus on helping the people that were hurt instead of throwing everything up into the air again, creating another huge mess, and then a month from now we’ll have a different set of people who are hurt and we have to focus on helping them.”

To paraphrase Leonard Pinth-Garnell from Bad Reasoning Theatre, “Oh my, that was absolutely abominable reasoning now wasn’t it?” (Claps approvingly)
