Good afternoon and a lovely week to all the Giza family,

Today the Greek government announced that Greek Independence Day and its 200year (bicentennial) Anniversary will canceled (no outdoor marching or celebrating) for all citizen (plebeians) to be strictly enforced by a reinforced police presence. As the elders of Agia Sofia have yet to respond, I find it aptly fitting to share John Sebastian Bach’s beautiful piece “Actus Tragicus” (a tragic action) – {dedicated to the tragic mis-decision mentioned above} which I believe J.S. Bach wrote as a homage piece for a funeral, the death blow to the Greek independent spirit.

If I sound a bit dramatic, it’s because even though i wasn’t born in Greece, I am pretty upset, not that I was expecting otherwise from ‘them’ but I was hoping, ‘hope is the last to die’ as my mother god bless her soul use to say.
Maybe i am upset because all I do is sit here and chatter about it and ‘do nothing more than that’.
Greater men and women in this country came before me where true heroes painted a white cross on a blue piece of fabric for a flag and announcing ‘freedom or death’ while taking up arms.
I should ashamed to call my self a Greek, and my fathers son, who ironically was a born and bred Spartan; and at both I truly am.
My cowardice (for the time being) should be well noted, maybe I’ll miraculously grow a pair and make a decision, as to what that would be, well that’s another story.
