          Dr Farrell has mentioned that the Nazis had cornered the global market for thorium by war’s end. It was part of their burgeoning nuclear & possibly thermonuclear weapons of mass destruction. The clueless Allies found many tons of thorium stored and asked the Nazis what it was for. They replied that it was simply a novel toothpaste additive.
