          • Would anyone care to speculate on communist China’s endgame?

The Saker article provided a really good summary and The Rising Tide dialogue presented some interesting background and insights (perhaps a bit too rosy a perspective – China is hardly saintly – nevertheless good information to reflect upon).
Regarding China’s endgame, I lean toward protection of their sovereignty and culture as well as expansion of their economy (partially through a win-win strategy but not exclusively).
I do not think they wish to ‘colonize’ other nations but may, like exist here in the US, Canada, and elsewhere incorporate pockets of their citizenry in the form of ‘little Chinatowns’ within other nations. Seems like a great way to keep tabs on what’s happening within other countries in a more overt manner and have the opportunity to demonstrate how their internal presence can be beneficial to other nations. If they follow in their more ancient explorer footsteps, I would expect efforts to be made to broaden the understanding of Western populaces of China’s intentions through the sharing of literature covering diverse disciplines.
Personally, I go back and forth when considering their involvement in the UN/WEF Agenda; right now I’m sitting somewhat undecided with a slight lean toward – ‘in the long run no go’ as that Agenda asks individual nations to give up too much to participate (especially when it comes to culture and national defense).
That said – I do see the likelihood of a hot conflict. The West doesn’t want to share the sandbox and is too ignorant and arrogant to comprehend that the odds are not with them in such a scenario. An article I read behind a paywall earlier mentioned that if the US starts a conflict with Russia using the Ukraine as it’s excuse, then China would probably deal decisively with the Taiwan issue during the ‘fog’. Unfortunately, any hot conflict has the potential to spread far and wide unless the West is smashed down quickly – this would mean US Citizens may experience a real war scene on its home territory. Not something pleasant to contemplate.
