Who’s minding the mint. Some may know that the pre-1982 US penny contains copper worth 3 cents. While you could still find a certain amount of these in bulk change until recently, I heard on a podcast that banks and/or the Fed are now removing those coins from circulation. “A penny saved is a penny earned”….

  My Wall Street Options Trader Husband must be smiling from heaven. He left me with literally pounds of the coin. He sorted his pockets every evening after getting off the train and every pre-1982 cent went into a special pile and then others that fit his penny collection got resorted. He started this collection when he was in high school (graduated in 1968 and died in 1993.) I have always wondered what I would do with this collection…

  I recall in Billings, Montana, 1955 (high school) when all the locals complained about not being able to get paper dollars, only silver dollars were a available at the time. Major complaint: wore holes in pockets. Too heavy! (sigh.). If only…. (sigh,again).

      So true. Frosting on the cake: The AI message (Idiotic would be a better word) only said something like “cannot post your message because of an inappropriate word,” but did reference the word itself. I had to intuit the “offense” and act accordingly. It was not even the word itself, but four letters within the word, which is a legitimate Latin word common to science, literature, etc. Sheesh! Reminds me of language games used in early life when we occasionally communicated in Pig Latin and Double Dutch, but “II” would probably soon catch up. Guess I will sharpen my telepathic skills. (Can you hear me now?)
