For those wondering about the News and Views about Louie Gohmert’s comments to the Forest Service, I took it down… it proved to be a huge bonfire with some of the commenters.

I am shure you had your reasons but now I am curious. Was sleeping when it was posted and missed it but todays bonfires are not about sociable cosiness so one can’t be careful enough!

Sorry to hear that Dr Farrell…I did enjoy watching you laugh so much! Laughter being ‘the best medicine’. Hopefully the fires weren’t incendiary 🙂

Bonfire of the vanities aside, it did sort of make fun of someone garbling the argument (I feel sorry for gomer’s aide who should have known the swamp rule to never prep a mid weight intellectual for an appearance with nuanced details) but the laughter alone should be preserved.

I guess the Texans (like me) got a little miffed that it is always a southerner making an aside when the coastals take him seriously and then laugh at how “stupid we are” with our accents. It’s GomerT…btw, not Pyle. LOL

Gov. when Jimmy Carter was Gov., not as interesting as one might think in that they did not run as a “ticket” … but still … ) today the song could become relevant again …

Well I am exceedingly disappointed that you chose to remove the video. It is a classic. I suppose those of us that want to watch your videos will have to download them as soon as they are released then if anyone or any company is successful in having the video removed, we can still enjoy them. That politician will forever been know as a useless clown and donkey in our office. Actually I think I’ve managed to insult all the clowns and donkeys,.. we’ll just refer to that person as just another laughing stock that unfortunately is an elected official in your country.
