This may be one of the scenarios, but it remains to be seen if and how it might play out.

Let’s hope and pray that’s not in the cards… but at this point, nothing would surprise me. If that’s going to happen, I’m guessing it would play out as soup kitchens and insect protein in the developed world, and holodomor in poorer countries.

Depending on how many prongs the beast actually has, even soup kitchens might be too much for which to hope; and – to repeat an earlier observation – even if the drought is not deliberate, the decisions, firstly, not to deploy weather-modification technology to make it rain and, secondly, to discharge water from the reservoirs into the sea certainly were 🙁
