I gotta question maybe someone can answer. Now that June 19th is a Federal Holiday, as of a couple of hours ago, why have I never heard of “Juneteenth” until last year? Is it a Mandela Effect or has the psy-op totally gone off the rails? Maybe that great big a.i. in the sky is starting to short circuit, I don’t know, its got me scratching my head.

    • February 12, President Lincoln’s birthday, used to be a recognized holiday in honor of outlawing slavery in the US. George Washington’s Birthday was February 22 and also a National holiday. Schools closed, government offices closed and many businesses too. Evidently with Valentines Day on February 14, it was just too many holidays in such a short month, so President’s Day combined both without a reference to either one.
Juneteenth is a southern thing that referred to slaves in Galveston TX who were not aware they were free until after the war in 1865. I guess with the race war going on it is a placard.

      • I’m in the same boat that you are.

        • I heard the term “Juneteenth” many years ago, though I never knew exactly what it was. I’ll wager the reason you’re hearing about it now is, as Billy Bob suggests, due to the critical-race-theory-fueled culture wars.
