Was looking to pick up a few books and checked the site:
http://www.fantasticfiction.com/
This site lets your read a few chapters of a book your interested in. So I checked out: Into the Lightning Gate by Robert Roth.
I clicked on the preview and then this came up:
A Note about pronouns…. “It will be challenging to some readers who are used to having the world defined explicitly in binary genders and assume someone’s gender is based solely on their appearance and presentation.
However, it’s essential to let go of such assumptions. If your challenged by this, I urge you to lean into your discomfort and embrace the fact that, even if you could see a particular character, you still may not know their gender. For the sake of this story, how they identify doesn’t matter much any way.”I’m not reading that book!
You couldn’t pay me to read it!
Certainly don’t want that to become a standard boiler plate, the authors must adhere to, in order to publish.
That Honorable Mentions story of the North Korean running into pronouns like the above, brings to mind her basically saying how freaking nuts it is!

[I should have written them in my notebook!]
Would you name a few you’d recommend?
