  yes lol as its well known De Beers has monopoly on (by nature created) jewelry diamond pricing and is heavily manipulated as De Beers and the Russians have truck loads of diamond in storage since the 80ies which they cant sell because it would crash the jewelry market. Besides past 15 years diamonds for jewelry are regularly manufactured in sort of a high pressure heated anvils.
