Went to local bank’s lobby today to obtain generic bank deposit slips until printed ones arrive. I was given four, that’s all they’d let have due to supply chain issues. All customers and employees had on face diapers, about twenty people.
Thought I was part of the filming of a science fiction movie. Down right weird how “normal” they all acted wearing one. (Masks are recommended but not required and the usual security guard at the door to enforce compliance is no longer part of the experience )-
Last November I was thinking to myself, damn, this has now become normalized, just for what you said, those I observed were acting as if its just like putting on your shoes before going out. But now, since they lifted the mandate a few months back, putting them back in masks is probably not so easy, They’ve gotten used to not wearing them. First time, yeah scary bio-weapon, next time? We’ll see. There is a fatigue out here of constantly hearing about something nobody is seeing, and seeing what the news isn’t speaking of. I guess time will tell.
