Russian-Saudi defence agreement. This looks like the final crumbling of the petrodollar. Will it also herald the exit of those “royals” put in place a century ago by a declining British Empire?

If/when there is an announcement that the Saudis agree to accept roubles – or any other currency – for their oil, then we will know that The Sword of Damocles hanging over the dollar has struck. There were constant rumors about this 4-5 years ago. Perhaps they will now re-surface?

Maybe this was a “secret clause” to the agreement? We shall soon see.
