    Wasn’t that a CAF often saying, that American elites plan a 100 years in advance.

      I forget where I read this, but native American tribes were said to consider what effect decisions they were contemplating would have on the tribe one hundred years later. I’m not American; but this struck a chord with me because my grandfather gave me the same advice, which he had received as a boy from his grandfather, who was born in 1828. Decisions which he made in the nineteenth century still affect the family today. So, advice worth heeding!

          I have heard something like: “Will what you’re worrying about now matter in an hundred years? If not, then quit being so worried about it”.
