Two years ago the Chinese sent a group of investors to Puerto Rico. They were snooping around for two weeks for possible “investments”. This is Puerto China folks ! Everything is imported nothing is made, local industries that dates back to the 16th century are almost gone. We had a master craftsmanship tradition in the making of furniture, the White House has several pieces on display. All of that folks has been replaced by products made out of compressed wood from China. Agriculture is almost gone and even our coffee production which was the preferred choice by the popes since the 16th century is in danger.
I know folks in the States feel the same way and we are American Citizens also. I mean the two main responsibilities of a Government are (1) Protect its citizens (2) Protect their industries. We are not being protected and loosing both industries and citizens. The US has embarked in this Global Crazy policy we can’t compete with Chinese products and everybody is hurting.
Now look at this… We are getting a “Cultural Park” What is this ? A Chinese ” Cultural Park” on a Caribbean Island ? Why not a Colonial Hotel with battle re-enactments ? Artillery from El Morro Fort shot a cannonball through the cabin of Sir Francis Drake’s flagship. The man barely escaped alive and he died soon after. You know…. we have a history. A Chinese Theme park ? Are we going to be colonized by the Chinese now ?

Yes, the Chinese are well know for their period in the Caribbean. Pirates of the Cari-peking, the Chinese are also well known for their ability to drink prodigious amounts of rhum and growing dreadlocks to listen to Uncle Bob. Chinaland in the Caribbean. Twas only a question of time.
A cultural park to learn how to make dumplings.
I want to learn how to make dumplings.. My second son is half sicilienne, half english and half chinese dumplings… If you saw how many of those things were eaten by his mother when she was pregnant..He loves them as well.
I’d like to see a chinese theme park were they talk about gunpowder and guns and flamethrowers and armoured chariots and ships and all the war technology that they had whilst Europeans were running around clubbing their women on their heads..(if you believe European history…)
