I thought about the solar panels but I created a “getaway van”, extended chevy diesel, with alternator run auxiliary battery system. I can still add the solar panels and probably run most things for the time the diesel is not available… I can charge computer, run a hot plate, heater, phones, etc… probably my dewalt tools, too. Smile.

    • Great idea…we have thought about that as a family and are researching now ways and means if we go that route.

Posted a twitter last night that got wiped…no inappropriate wording.
It had smoke/fire coming out of manholes/sewers. Can’t confirm, but there’s reports of magma & 20K marines deployed in 29 Palms.
Remember the geothermal fiasco in Hawaii?

    • It would be interesting to overlay the map of the guy who showed the explosions that occurred simultaneously in FIVE spots, 2 at what I believe is that location, that started the fire. Is this why they turned off the electric? They can’t be responsible, can they? BTW, Don’t forget that southern California wells are old and probably not very…[Read more]

Yes that book is in my top 5 of all time, however if you go to You Tube and punch in his name you will find a lot of his presentations there, which are excellent.

Couldn’t agree more…this could be the snowflake that starts an avalanche to wake the sleepwalkers from their slumber.
The fact it’s being exposed at all, I see as a positive.

How many here continue to use wireless knowing full well the consequences?

Even in airplane mode, I received a 2 party authentication notice.
Disconnected the service, but it’s still triangulated & clearly airplane mode is not safe either.
        No WiFi…config’d/wired for ethernet.

        • I saw someone compare two phones, one on and one in airport mode. They drove around for a day with them and then used an app that showed their route. When the one in airport mode was turned on, it was more accurate than the one that had been on the whole time.

The problem isn’t just with CNN, although they have clearly become one of the worst and why many people refuse to switch to them for anything, but even FOX has shown plenty of bias and has a tendency to divert from truth when the narrative impels them to either cover up or promote the “look over here” meme. I think most people here would agree…[Read more]

It is, or used to be on my shelves somewhere. I recall it struck me favourably when I read it years ago. Tidbit: I once met Mr Hall in his later years, and he kindly gave me some of his time. But with hindsight, the questions I asked him then would seem rather inane now.

While terrain and environment are significant factors, an extreme novice with a cheap Baofeng UV-5r radio (less than $30) and a $20 J-Pole antenna can receive (RX) transmissions from hundreds of miles away. Granted, the novice would likely lack the skill and power (only 5w) to transmit (TX) over the same distance. For all of Cali’s problems, it’s…[Read more]

11Oct19 is the two hundred and ninety-second anniversary of both the coronation of George II of Great Britain and Ireland and the premiere performance of Handel’s coronation anthem, Zadok the Priest – a flimsy excuse to post a link to what is for me perhaps the most powerful piece of music ever.

  • Hi folks! I want to give you an update on what’s going on. I’m feeling better, and I am planning to have the vidchat which is scheduled for this Friday at 2PM US Central time. However, there may not be a News and Views tomorrow as there is a prediction of severe weather, which will put Shiloh into a tizzy and perhaps both of us into the storm shelter.

    • Joseph it sounds like you need to move to a more “acceptable” location, somewhere where you and Shiloh will be more comfortable, how about upper Mongolia or maybe Mars, which ever is the cheaper…………whooooops……….LOL
