hi acorn, cover versions of songs can be unsettling to some people. I think different versions are interesting. when teaching ‘fair use’ to analysts I would play a clip from the 2 live crew version of ‘Pretty Woman’ a subject of a legal case in which the Supreme Court found that a parody rap version could qualify as fair use. hello everyone. here is a gentle and peaceful rendition from Iceland.

Víkingur Ólafsson – Bach: Organ Sonata No. 4, BWV 528: II. Andante [Adagio] (Transcr. Stradal)

              • 1. It’s organ music. Why play it on an instrument for which it’s neither intended nor particularly well suited?
                2. It’s abstract music. Why turn it into a movie soundtrack?
                3. Why does Mr Ólafsson interpret “andante” as “adagio molto tedioso”?

As an antidote, here’s Marie-Claire Alain:

i may regret posting this… but this champagne bubble of a tune motivated me to go up to the third floor where I can look out over the snow-laced tree tops and scattering flurries and then look down on a ready to be sorted or trashed, tchotchke memorabilia treasure cache.

hope I didn’t violate your safe space by bringing up the issue of ascribing a gender to an AI service. I thinking giving a machine a gender is fascinating but I understand how others may not agree. I always have liked learning what french nouns were masculine or feminine.

                                  • I don’t get the current obsession with sex and gender in all things. I thought we were past seeing humans through the lens of sex, gender, sexual orientation, race, etc., and now it’s not just humans, but objects. And then when there are actual problems in real life, well, ideology comes first and reality takes a backseat. It’s nuts. I…

with respect to the risks, for me, calling in other beings is at this point beyond my intentions or knowledge. I like to think about generating light energy via chakra meditation and purging any thought energy not focused on enhancing a healthy life for everyone. I am interested in thoughts on these issues and efforts.

                                              • It was interesting (and encouraging) to read about that lady whose group tried to generate an egregore to protect Britain during WWII. Her group “was not able to meet in person because of wartime travel restrictions,” yet their group intention presumably still worked.

                                                  • Described in “The Magical Battle of Britain”, who lived for a time in Glastonbury.

                                                    • maybe a group project for us? anyone interested?

                                                        • I don’t know anything about group-based intention. I do remember hearing somewhere that it can be counterproductive if done the wrong way. If Gizars with knowledge/experience with it want to provide guidance and participate in such a project, I will.

                                                            • I could lead it. its just a matter of focused intent, agreed upon.

                                                                • Kudos for taking the initiative. I don’t know how/what other Gizars or Dr. Farrell might feel about such a project or about members discussing it in this forum. I’ll wait for additional feedback.

                                                                • i whoa!- no Golem stuff lol didn’t realize that’s what it was talking about. Angelic stuff would be lovely and aspirational on the other hand. I have no desire to create self fulfilling monsters, but interestingly, isn’t that what fiction authors do, on a small scale?

                                                                  • Do you listen to the Higherside Chats? Check out the episode with Lynne McTaggart. It’s mainly in reference to intention and health, but there’s seemingly no reason why it couldn’t be used for grander objectives.

                                                                      • Good advice… Yes, I listen to the Higherside Chats, and I’ve listened to Lynne McTaggart’s first-hour interview a couple of times. Her material is brand-new to me, but very interesting.

                                                                    • In these matters, you have to know how to walk before you can run, for example by fostering a harmonious local environment. This in itself has a positive resonant effect.

                                                                          • with respect to the risks, for me, calling in other beings is at this point beyond my intentions or knowledge. I couldn’t help but think of the tens of millions of people who are focusing on President Trump somehow overcoming this diabolic coup to overturn the election results. These people are very passionate in their support for this President. I’ve never seen anything like it in my 64 years of life. Maybe it…

They might be grasping at straws to deflect attention from that hypothesis. However, I do find the reference to ancient genetics interesting indeed.
