6 hours ? That’s a bit of a stretch, even for me…. but I like the idea of a protracted examination of overlordship.

Interesting tidbit, with that Pétain and de Merode connection…

I can see now why the War went on for so long. Insanely Incredulous Incomptence! Single file?? Do you think they missed on purpose to make sure the German Empire fell? Clear the way for someone else?

“The sacred things ye learn, to none disclose,
A little falsehood much discretion shows;
Regard Iaos as supreme above,
In winter Pluto, in spring’s opening Jove,
Phœbus through blazing summer rules the day,
Whilst autumn owns the mild Iaos sway.” -

And remember… poor Frederick would have had to play that third movement, with its precious few places to breathe, so it’s important to remember, that as Frederick is turning purple, that he and CPE did not get along very well… “Here, your Majesty, is a little something for you to blow upon…”

Clearly the people who work on the Antarctic continent are concerned with these issues; to presume some nefarious purpose for this by linking it with Antarctica’s reputation for high strangeness is disingenuous ? Gay people living and working in Antarctica cannot be construed as having some kind of a comical or aberrant plan to concur with a…[Read more]

this is mad, so wonderfully mad…
-
It’s Zelenka… hence, wonderfully mad!
-
I heard this piece years and years ago, and it’s so wildly Bohemian in every wonderful way.
-
I sometimes think that a lot of the “Sturm und Drang” in early CPE comes from the Czech baroque composers and especially Zelenka. So many affektif gestures are so similar.
-
…and unfortunately, getting thee to a church these days, you’d be subjected to bongo drums, electric guitars through 50000 watts of distortion, and belly dancers with ugly tatoos.

That book was really interesting but his criticism of Castaneda seemed out of place because the whole corpus delivered by Castaneda is deeply transcendental and makes no mention of any technology at all. That being said it’s already allocated to my re-read in a few weeks list.

But you’re forgetting about Whitley Strieber and Edgar Mitchell. Podesta, de-Longe, Levenda, Goode are the supporting acts to Strieber’s and Mitchell’s much more sinister and anti-human prescriptive programmes. If ever there was a dark horse in this race it’s Strieber.
-
This should be kept in mind.

Recommend Jasun Horsley’s new book on Strieber: Prisoner of Infinity
