I think Supervenience says that people, things and worlds have enfolded within them properties which always reflect intrinsic higher and lower order sets of data, but I’m not sure yet. Gotta think this one out…

I was reading about the idea in philosophy called “Supervenience” and wondered how it might relate to the Top Metaphor; it seems to have some similarities…

Try the “en tempo de canarie”… it’s wonderfully Zelenka having his musical jokes and fun
-
His sense of rhythms could drive even a Stravinsky mad… and perhaps envious that Zelenka’s music ends up being MUSIC as well…

In the biblical Books of Kings (2 Kings 18:4), the Nehushtan (or Nohestan) (Hebrew: נחושתן or נחש הנחושת) is the derogatory name given to the bronze serpent on a pole first described in the Book of Numbers, which God told Moses to erect to so that the Israelites who saw it would be protected from dying from the bites of the “fiery serpents” whic…[Read more]

As a very famous Australian used to say; “Do yourselves a favour”
ZWV 61 Il Serpente di bronzo, Oratorio-
Was the “bronze serpent” perhaps the memory of an ancient machine?

A missile deflector device? Later incense offerings recall a Foundation-like scenario of ancient science declining into devotional practice.

Then we could all do with a “bronze serpent” with or without the incense!

I suppose it is somewhat unlikely, but just imagine; after the union has been solemnized, and the glückliches Paar are walking down the aisle, half the congregation would bow, while the other half would salute !

Is it true what I heard (or thought I heard) on the radio the other day, that Prince Harry is marrying Madam Merkel ? I wonder if Dr. Farrell will get an invitation ?
-
Haha no he is marrying an American actress called Meghan Markle.

ROF… Yikes… that’s NOT an image I needed Baz!

the NORKs haven’t done anything “all of a sudden”. They have been persuing their missile technology since the 1950s and got their information about enrichment from the Soviets in the 1970s. No need to gild the conspiracy lily….

Edgar Allan Poe’s poem “Dream-Land” (1844) begins with the following stanza describing the land of Thule:
By a route obscure and lonely,Haunted by ill angels only,Where an Eidolon, named Night,On a black throne reigns upright.I have reached these lands but newlyFrom an ultimate dim Thule –From a wild weird clime, that lieth, sublime,Out of S…[Read more]

Maybe I read this idea on this site so excuse me if I iterate old news, but perhaps north was south once upon a time? I’m no expert on pole shifts, but that would make Antarctica a candidate for Ultima Thule. Another point is that many monuments are aligned towards Greenland where the pole might have been in the past.
