In Liu Cixin’s novel “The Three Body Problem” an alien race, the Trisolarans, encircle Earth with a sentient “unfolded” proton in order to form a virtual barrier around the planet; to spy on the inhabitants and to prevent advances in technology by throwing a metaphorical monkey-wrench into the works of man. Is there some connection between the…[Read more]

    • I often wonder if the Earth, if not the entire solar system is enclosed in a Dyson Sphere…

      • I posted a reply about Dyson Spheres but it has since disappeared.
        Perhaps I’m being edited ?
In any case I want to mention the LHC As far as I recall whenever Dr.Farrell writes about the LHC he talks about two accelerators being involved in the creation of a torsion event which he believes might have effects upon our Sun. ( I stand to be…[Read more]

        • Hi Baz – here is your ‘lost’ post which came to my inbox this morning – can’t think how it got deleted :

Baz replied to one of your updates:

          “Fascinating.
In Larry Niven’s ” Ringworld” there are some extraordinary implications of living on a Dyson Sphere, and I have copied part of the Wikipedia entry because I didn’t trust my memory of reading…[Read more]

    • I remember something else about those novels by Cixin; in one incident one of the protagonists is playing a Trisolaran virtual reality game. It involved assembling an army of men to simulate a computational process informed by Von Neumann architecture. The aim of the game was glean information about reality manipulation from the unwitting gamers.…[Read more]

      • (I have tried six times to post this little paragraph, and I was told I was using an inappropriate word – its a bit frustrating because I had to completely re-word my post, which had nothing wrong with it in the first place….)

Gold didn’t get turned into money; gold got turned into aquiesence and our addiction to metallic Personhood. Gold is not an event, it’s a teleology of inconsequentialism in the face of alien gnosis. Herculoidism writ large.

Yeah, I agree. I happily sent my copy away with a gormless friend and really don’t care if he returns it.

Strieber identifies the gas as nitrous oxide. He “explains” thus: reoxidized nitrous oxide as a gate dielectric for charge-trapping non-volatile memory. And then he goes to say that high density ultra cold atomic gases can be used as media for photon storage in quantum computing. Clear as….

    • There is probably a lot of suppressed science involving what is classified as mesmerism, which had its heyday in the 18th century followed by a decline. Though it survived here and there over the 19th century, perhaps taken over by an early form of “breakaway science”, that went public in odd ways such as the novel “Frankenstein”.

Stray Thoughts and a request for some brainstorming.
Being new to the GDS site I don’t know whether this subject has been broached before: A few years ago I read “The Air Loom Gang” by Mike Jay. It describes the sad life and madness of one James Tilly Matthews who lived in London in the 1790s. Possible spy, diplomat, political activist and…[Read more]

    • Didn’t know about this case but the theme may tie in with transhumanism (see the book on Shelley by Scott Douglas de Hart) and with Walter Bosley’s reseach about early airship technology (mid 19th cent.) and by extension on the research milieu underlying it

    Paracelcus and the Trilemma ?

I wonder if I were to cook up my own crazy cult would I choose such an obvious trope ? If I chose a cognate symbol, for example, Cygnus, would the sheer novelty mask my intent to a degree that I could weave a tale and be somewhat certain that it was more mysterious and therefore more credible ? What’s the point of making a deception that overtly…[Read more]

Indeed. Reed’s lilting homage to Factory Superstar Candy Darling ends with the plaintive refrain ‘What do you think I’d see if I could walk away from me?” Disassociative for sure.

  • Baz posted an update 8 years, 9 months ago

In his song “Candy Says” Velvet Underground singer Lou Reed crooned sweetly about a bluebird flying over his shoulder. Had he sung about a blue avian flying over his shoulder I wouldn’t have been more surprised than I was yesterday when I was looking at Dark Journalist’s flogging of Corey Goode. I’d never heard of Goode before and have only…[Read more]

New Zealand seems to be ripe for the picking of some strange, conspiratorial fruit. There was that newspaper report naming Lee Oswald published before any other in the world had any reliable information. Or am I dreaming ?

Great interview. Has me thinking about what celestial objects are visible from Antarctica, and what the “function” of extended night/day might have for any group of technicians (ancient or modern) who had or have some telluric business there.

    • The video was deleted from YouTube. I started it last night but planned to watch this morning. It was still on the Dark Journalist website in the members’ section archive. I downloaded it to watch later today. Thankfully, Mystic Brew already has a commentary video uploaded discussing it. Otherwise, I might have thought the video was just a…[Read more]

There was an episode of Star Trek Voyager when Capt. Janeway and Lt. Paris devolved into ancient space-worms and got friendly. Very funny, but it made me think of the innate Shapeshifter we all carry around with us.

The english magickian Austin Spare had some things to say about Atavistic Resurgance; unscrambling your everyday mind in order to revivify a long buried connection to animals, reptiles and insects, and, who knows ? maybe even hominids and their erstwhile cousins…
