Yes I’ve read these online articles on the Payseur question but would like to see more specific historical sources for this material and its purported ramifications.

The Payseurs seem to me to be like the Hivites. Big bad super baddies that came out of nowhere with no or little historical record at all… Which doesnt mean that they havent been there.. Ea knows how much informtation and records we’ve lost in the past…

Been a fan of this whole concerto since I was a teenager. I believe it was the third movement that first drew me in.

Yes, Ukrainian and German-Nazi connections are very strong till this day. That poor nation suffered so much for the first 20 years of communism 6 to 9 mln people died of genocidal food rationing so called Hlodomor. Yes one of mine as well, this is actually based on two sinfonias from his cantatas, which just shows once again that he had little mental boundaries in his noggin between sacred and secular music.
