This is an interesting story.

The mechanistic worldview is: stimulate the vagus nerve to repair damage, consciousness is “restored”. A less mechanistic question: If this is a technique of electromagnetic inference/induction applied (via the vagus nerve), I wonder what is really happening? i.e. Does this electromagnetic interference/induction somehow repair the body’s ability to receive and “host” the person’s consciousness/mind from an otherwise non-local existence?
