    What does everyone think of the second part of the Forum Borealis interview with Cliff High about the Nature of Consciousness? I found what he had to say about artificial intelligence and quantum computing very interesting and he seemed to have opinions that I have not come across previously. Does anyone know where he is getting his ideas from?

      Go to Alex Tsarkis’ site Skeptico.com hundreds of interviews on the subject. Haven’t seen AL’s work with Cliff. But Cliff tends to be a little , how do say…? High or rather lofty, airy in some of the suppositions and hypothesis. The Woz or Creator of Mac says ” No way , no how, is it going to be ever close to getting AI to do what the MIND does. ” Never. We don’t even know how the mind works and it is what trillion times more complex than where AI is or will be. Never gonna come to fruition. Cliff is cute but for a non smoker that he is … High. IMHO.
