Eccles: I recently heard in London an extraordinary performance of this piece by the little-performed composer (with cello, 2 violins and theorbo however).

This looks like a lute but with extremely long strings, very unwieldy.
I didn’t know they existed until I saw one at the concert!
you need to get out more Dana, eeeeveryone knows about theorbo, but who can tell a good crumhorn story ?!
