Makes me remeber growing up in sweden always hearing about threats from USSR submarines which now has been replaced by russian submarines -

The recent naval nonsense in the Black Sea could be related to the fact that the characteristics of that body of water are hostile to submarines; and since it is virtually impossible for subs to “sneak” through the straits from the Mediterranean, sub activity is limited to those countries facing onto the Black Sea.
