G’Day Folks, I am currently reading a book entitled “Schopenhauer” by Julian Young

The important point here for Downunder ET’s question may be that for Schopenhauer the meaning of “representation” is what he calls “will”. In connection with this I think it safe to say that Schopenhauer had a peculiarly idiosyncratic set of presuppositions (e.g. his idea of the role of the sufferings of humanity) from which he worked.

Actually no… she still doesn’t play, which is unusual for a dog, but another member here told me her dog was abused, and doesn’t play either… Sad, but true.

We have rescued two abused dogs over the years. They like humans have trust issues and trauma. Our last one was a lab who was deathly afraid of brooms, so we knew she had to have been hit. She also had a bad hip spot from the hits.

I did have one rescue that played with toys but I think he ran away before the abuse got too bad. He was wild when I rescued him (they caught him in a trap in Austin). He was running with what I believe was a half sister who was terribly abused (also trapped). Both were on the euthanize in hours list when I rescued them. She never considers…[Read more]

My first experience of Forum Borealis was when a 3 part Antarctica episode dropped featuring Cliff High. It was truly awesome.

Oh yeah, can you imagine what NASA’ reaction would be. If the Russians do “go”, then you can bet they are going to take photos. Maybe Richard Hoagland will also have to have second thoughts, and that is a real WHOPPER DOOZIE.

Russians definitely know something about this issue. They even teach this “conspiracy theory” to 6th graders. I’ve heard it with my own ears few years ago, when my stepdaugter told me what she learned at school that day. . It amazed me a little bit. Oh dear, what if the Russians found that they didn’t go, can you imagine the repercussions. I know Joseph does believe they did go, but there are millions who now question it.

ET .. that gave me the first laugh for my Sunday morning. .. What if indeed!! The Americans would do what they always do.. Deny deny deny and then blame the Russians .. Well I can’t recall seeing any footage of them assembling or disassembling the “dune buggy” so that should still be there or did they blow that up?
