Cara .. I have hand reared many varieties of fledglings and none come close to the owl .. Truly the “cats of the air” ..

Sadly, I haven’t seen any owls here in Dubai but we used to get an occasional one visiting in Johannesburg – which of course set the local birds into a tizzy :-)… it was like the fare had come to town

I don’t know what to make of it, but I’m definitely one of the “maybe-people”. No conscious memories but lots of indications, like odd dreams, alienation/fear/depression for 25 yrs, obsession with certain things etc. Does anybody know any good hypnotist in the scandinavian region or at least northern europe? Just curious…

I rather like owls actually; I’ve always thought their feather markings beautiful and I like the owls I have encountered in literature from a very early age (for example, Owl in Winnie the Pooh). I wonder at the animism that we project on / perceive in / inculcate in different creatures. It’s fascinating.

Italian historical re-enactments involve a lot of archery and crossbow compet itions using targets in a public square, sports field etc. However, in practice sessions the archers go into the woods (duly fenced) which is much more fun.
