We will most likely create an archive of Forum 1.0 (this one). Date cutoff will be any time after 9/11. You can still use Forum 1.0 as long as it’s up, but we don’t guarantee posts after 9/11 will be carried over to the archive. Meanwhile, you should see what’s going on in Forum 2.0. Gosh, it’s fast.

Early invite to all here: to forum 2.0.
This thing is several hundred % faster and hosted on its own resources so it doesn’t compete with the main site for speed.
* Does dark mode, if you have dark mode set on your computer and it recognizes it.
* User badges.
* Better handling of video and article links.
* Vast per-user customizations.

There IS a problem with videos prior to 2021 which we’re looking into. Current ones play fine. We’ll post a support resolution in the forum sidebar as soon as we have the pre-2021 video issue licked. But the other videos are showing fine.-

The member vidchats are all working properly. The issue is localized to the one user’s experience (see issue#1 on the support page). The fact that most members can see and interact w. the videos fine is illustrated by the number of comments on each video, indicating people are watching them. 🙂-
Vidchats are confirmed to work for me – webinars and other videos do not. I have attempted multiple browsers and devices, as instructed. Last time I viewed a webinar was Wednesday, 11 AUG

Ideally, when a vidchat is posted early, so comments can be collected for Q&A purposes, Dr. Farrell changes the date of the post on the day OF the vidchat. He can’t do so BEFORE, because then it’s a SCHEDULED post. But he can change it day OF. And that will move it to the front of the line. Meanwhile, it’s 4th in line (but there) because…[Read more]-

Margaret, thanks for that callout. I went ahead and nudged forward one of the next edits which boosted the font size. It’s now actually responsive, so font-size will flow with the size of device screen. Should be a bit easier to read. Also, if one has a mac, pinch and zoom is enabled at giza. Even on a laptop!-

For those who listen to audio books on Audible, you can now also hear News & Views there. Also, welcome to sortable search results. Find what you’re looking for and filter by what it is (vidchat, audio, etc). Keep in mind, the system doesn’t search the spoken word, but if it appears in the actual post, it’ll find it.

We occasionally get a support ticket from a non-working email address. There is clearly a typo or something in the address. Keep in mind that if you do not hear a response from the support team, that is the reason. Also 97% of all support issues are solved by following the steps marked issue number one on the support page.

No problem. Candidly, other than that link you mentioned (which I wouldn’t have thought of) I’m not sure whether we lost any other functionality by switching vendors. I was focused on expanding URLs and the likes. If you catch something else missing, please let me know.-

On my own profile’s drop-down menu, the link for “Wall” has vanished. Has it been superseded by “Your Posts” in the Community drop-down menu?

KNOW ISSUE: LINKS EXPANDING & LIKES: OK, we know what’s broken. It’s the tool that allows links to auto-expand and show a preview when you post them and also facilitates the “like” feature.
