    This was even funnier:

(This ‘ploy’ might be the way to circumvent all sorts of top-down coercion…)

    • Loved it! Really shows the absurdity of the scamdemic response. Kind of like holding a church service in a casino to circumvent the coercion.

If you are referring to the upcoming Ice Age, I wrote a comment on this situation over at ArsTechnica:

Ronin, there has been a lot of ‘peculiar’ goings-on through the ages. I call it the ‘out’ vs ‘up’ question. ‘Out’ is simply extraterrestrial types, come to do what they may. ‘Up’ is visitors from higher planes, etc. (Of course, it may be a combination.) I would put your Prince of Persia under either a hybrid offspring (part ET) or someone being…[Read more]

Thanks, and I wish you all the best in your new journey. If your ‘unsane’ (not insane) side demands it’s time, too, you are always welcome here. Good Luck!

(Sorry about being late again; need to get used to noticing the little blue button by my handle.) I have taken to copying-and-pasting my comment into a temporary file BEFORE hitting the ‘post’ button. Once, a post ‘disappeared’ after entering. I copy/pasted it in again (with a note on what just happened), and sent it off again. It also…[Read more]

    • thanks for replying. I”m just about to finish up my visits at Giza. It’s been great! I’ve enjoyed everything here. I have such little down time though and I’m starting on a new journey as a dressmaker. Can’t do everything I decided and some things just have to go. Your posts in particular have been exceptionally thought provoking 🙂

@zendogbreath ZDB, I’m still not used to messaging here. Just noticed your msg to me. Yeah, I’m curious about a few ‘deletions’ that happened AS the comment was posted. (Not like the standard ‘modded’ notification.) The ‘instant’ deletion would imply either someone camping-out between members and the site, or ‘personal attention’…

    • I’ve had a lot of deletions. In the last few weeks I have ranted with supporting links and the posts went poof! Into the air !

    • I find using the site on mobile browser is still somewhat difficult. I have to turn my phone horizontal orientation to even reply here in updates. The forums are not active, but it’s relatively new and everything does work.

As GDS is mainly for intellectual analysis, I do not mention this aspect of my life. Nevertheless, Tolkien was definitely on-to something…

    • what aspect of your life isnt up for intellectual analysis? I’m going elf hunting (that is… go looking for) when I’m going to Iceland.

I had several ‘meetings’ with unseen-folk (to ordinary eyes) not too different from his books.

I toured Britain several times with groups to go to ‘sacred places’ (not cathedrals, etc).

    • as a ps… A HUGE amount of holy sites got burnt down and had Cathedrals built on top of them. If you’re looking for I think you’re looking for.. and you can get past all the Ethelberts and Ecberts and Etheldredas (they had such lovely names…) start looking for the oldest graves.. … (the ones even the church feared to crush and crumple underfoot..)

iZeta, I have a soft spot for Tolkien because I believe he had either knowledge or encounters with otherworldly ‘natives’ within Britain. In other words, “LotR” and “Silmarillion” are as much ‘guidebooks’ as novels.
