Reminds me that I have an old sheet of paper – presumably dating from the 1930s – printed with line drawings in black ink of four identical pigs. By following the printed instructions and folding the paper two or three times, a picture of Hitler’s face is made. I can’t remember what the printer’s name was; but I do remember that it was Jewish.

In the olden days I enjoyed the occasional debates between Vidal and Wm. F. Buckley. Usually antagonistic, I usually learned something and admired the intellect of both as well their respect for the use of respectful language in their exchanges.
