Our home was surrounded but thankfully we were spared. Down the road was a different story though. Homes, sheds, vehicles and a pig that wasn’t released got taken. So sad, all of it. We have wildlife coming in for water and food every day now. Were you affected Freefall?

Interesting. We are currently staying with my stepson and his gothic girlfriend. I’ve caught a dreadful bug and when I’m there I’m nauseous and sick but when I leave to go to work I’m so much better. We, including the dogs and pheasants, are staying with family. We evacuated a few days ago but so many people on our road stayed back . There’s a petrol station in the middle of town and that’s another worry. I just hope everyone has evacuated by now, including all their farm animals. Thank you 🙂

May I ask for some prayers please ? Our home is now under direct threat from an 80,000 hectare bushfire that is rapidly heading towards Colo Heights in New South Wales. Any prayers, well wishes, Good energy, Good thoughts will be most most appreciated ❤️

Oh my goodness. You’re right!!! I never put those dots together at all. We have a sideboard that used to have photographs of our deceased relatives on it. I never liked having them there so a few weeks ago I put them away.

My main reason is to add it to my book library and to be handed down to my son. I’m impressed by the English world preceding WWI and you’ve hit the nail on the head about it providing an overview of how things were thought about then. I’ll investigate Mr A J Jacobs also.

1907 or older on Jordan Maxell’s advice.
You can find the on Archive…I grabbed them until I find a good garage/estate sale for hard copy.-

It has been argued by many, and I tend to agree, that the 11th /12th Edition (3 new volumes were produced in 1922 = 12th Edition) is one, if not the most interesting. It is interesting in that it gives you a grand picture of a world view that preceded but did not survive WW I.…[Read more]

BW.. I am ok here (at this stage) .. We had our first turn on the 13th Nov .. NOTHING compared to the eastern states .. Livestock and houses lost but no deaths .. We still have Jan and Feb to go .. Todays forecast here: 44 degrees with screaming northerlies .. Not good ..
