          I think the real question is: did they ever truly “leave”? Or did the Empire just go corporate? That’s what I think.

              Hey again Jacob & good evening,
              Well, we’ll soon find out if they all incorporate and form a union of their own. By the way, the Empire has been empirical for quite a long time and needless to say, they always had a corporate streak.

                  Well just living in Canada it’s hard to ignore the overt presence of Britain. For example: the Queen in the Canadian constitution plays the same role as God in the U.S, and she can fire any cabinet appointees by the PM at any time. All military officers are part of “Her Royal Majesties Navy, Army, Air Forces etc…” and not to mention “Crown Land” … and it’s all written into our laws and never left. I highly suspect NZ, AUS, Hong Kong are all similar

                      Sorry for the late reply, I wasn’t aware of GB 🇬🇧 and by extension the Queens reach even today, especially when it came to military forces. I am curious now and look into that so thank you for peaking my interest. By the way, what in God’s great name is going on up there in Canada? I recently watched a Corbett Report were it was mentioned that if you are flying in they quarantine you in a secret location, you are not allowed to contact anyone including loved ones, a right that even criminals have, and you get sent the exorbitant bill for your ‘hotel’ stay in the end.

                  Why re-invent the wheel when The Commonwealth already exists? Surely it could be tweaked and adapted, as desired? The Commonwealth already has the institutional infrastructure and a long history of mostly successful, quiet co-operation on multiple areas of mutual interest.
