Yes… and the laugh I got this morning from your puppet dialogue made my day!

Can we put this into a philosophy catagory ???

ROF… yes… aesthetics… 😛

From all recent indications The title would appear to be something along the lines of “Die Philosophie von Affektenlehre”. A totally abductive move on my part and fitting as most logicians as well as Cognitive Neuroscientists think abduction non-existent as well. I can well imagine that if as part of the writing of this book you spent a great…[Read more]

I’m definitely going to try the self-publishing route first. If the formatting turns out ok that way, I’m going to go with that.

Well, at 6:45PM, the beast is slain! The book is DONE, but now the real work begins of trying to format and edit the beast. I’m moderately pleased with the results… I hope readers will be.

Congratulations!

Well…save the congratulations until after reading the book… I’m taking a horrible chance on the way I’ve approached this topic.

Eh is this book coming out of Adventures Unlimited ?????

Hooray! Congratulations are in order for its completion! We are looking forward to reading it Dr Farrell 🙂 Then we will congratulate you again 😉

Hopefully you feel great! A great high often follows on the heels of accomplishment. I’m working my way through your books in the order they were written but, I cheat and read each new one as it comes out. I am learning a lot about education (not to mention other things) as I track your work; this despite years of college teaching. Oh well,…[Read more]

A nice performance of the Passacaglia and (double) Fugue here… almost the equal of Biggs’, but in this case you can watch it being played:

His hand technique looks very unusual to me. It seems almost as if he isn’t even using his thumbs. I understand in the early Baroque and before that thumbs weren’t used when playing keyboard, but wasn’t it precisely J.S. and C.P.E. Bach who pioneered and codified the use of all ten digits on keys? (At least to me, the handful of JSB pieces I…[Read more]

That’s one theory… another is that they seldom used heels (given some of the pedal boards were short), but as far as I recall, most of the pedals boards on the organs (and pedal harpsichords) that JS, WF, and CPE Bach actually played were long like the modern ones. The plain fact of the matter is, there’s no set way (technically speaking) of…[Read more]

I think the Brexit only starve some of opportunist who made a huge fortune with EU economy, come on! UK has no land to grow food? Or they must eat German sausage in order to live? Russian has much better food culture than UK, I really don’t think Russian so eager for lot of Fish and Chips 😛

Yes it boggles the mind. The western lamestream corporate controlled media seems so shrill and hysterical, they’re only harming themselves with their utter lack of balance or just old fashioned “Journalistic integrity.” It’s now all about policy advocacy.

Well JAW, Cairns is said as “cans”, remember the US and Australia are two countries separated by the same language.
In the US, the rear of a car is a “trunk”, in Oz it’s a boot. and on and on I could go.
Glad you liked it here, the Aussies are the closest to the people of the US, the English are nothing like the people of the US. - Load More
As C.A.Fitts and other have been saying, electronic entrainment is alive and well. Just watch any crowd in most cities who instead of LOOKING where they are going or, Lord forbid, at other PEOPLE, keep staring at and fingering a small device they hold in their hands (yours truly is a “conchy” i.e. a consciencious objector against “smart phones” )
It is amazing ho much discrimination you can face for not having a cell phone (I don’t).
People tell me what they have read or written on “whatsapp” and how they have left “chat groups” in a huff because they felt offended… as I listen with a smile, half sympathetic and half ironic…
I have a simple flip phone, it’s not ‘smart’ and it doesn’t ‘text’ . . . cell phone zombies in public are amusing and entertaining to watch . . . .
I only use it to upload my 8 gb (and growing) of books ‘loaned’ from Archive.org lol…
Its actually quite amuzing.. (yeh I know its spelt incorrectly..) I did an art project on mobile phones and the interactions of spaces inbetween people when I was at University.. that’d be.. around 2000.. when they only thing we had were those indestructable…[Read more]
