Condo collapse in Surfside kills at least one; search and rescue combing through rubble
from the Miami Herald…A South Florida-based home insurance inspector who asked not to be named said she had visited Champlain Towers in February 2020 to verify impact windows and doors for a client.
She said while the building is coming up on its required…[Read more]-
My very first thought was “who lives in that building?”
And someone else mentioned that it might be part of McAfee’s deadman switch. I don’t know how many people are aware of this, but I understand and have heard him state it on interviews that he was on the run and often lived on his yacht. They say tax evasion but this man knew stuff. He…

If they somehow contrive to blame De Santos for this my suspicion meter will start flashing.

I was watching some videos of the wreckage, and in a few angles it sure looked like a sink hole was present. At the same time, the OKC bombing sure did come to mind. The building’s first few floors were parking after all.
-
It seems the building had been inspected, and was found to be sinking since the 90’s. Concerningly, it was “deemed” unfit last year.

It appears the author of the article is unaware of the distinction between existing law and changes in a law as expressed in a bill. The changes evidenced in the bill cover: limiting the duration of an emergency, a preference for keeping schools open, permitting commuting to a job during partial closures, prohibiting businesses from…

of course this can be appealed but I did like this: “When an agency claims to discover in a long-extant statute an unheralded power to regulate ‘a significant portion of the American economy,’ we typically greet its announcement with a measure of skepticism.”

Yes, the “by any means necessary” part is existing law, not something introduced by the new bill.

I have this fear of a door-to-door commando force jabbing all resisters. Here in Massachusetts the governor is threatening door-to-door canvassing to get us all in line. My paranoia is flaring up big time.
-
I think that I will escape a “forced” jab, but I have real concerns about the safety of people who stand up and confront the growing and sinister medical tyranny.
-
I’m not sure if they can force-jab anyone before the injection gets FDA approval (as opposed to emergency use authorization, which is its current status, I believe). Even if they legally can, I don’t think they will — it would look bad, and these people don’t want bad PR. I’m sure there will be door-to-door jabbers in some areas, and they…
