Duration 3 minutes.
“When a honey bee forager finds a good resource – usually nectar or pollen – she can communicate the location to her nestmates with the waggle dance. We can view and decode this amazing behavior.”

Makes me think of reading Charlotte’s Web as a boy and watching the movie as an adult. The ending made me sad as a child when she died but happy as an adult when her young went off to spread the word.

Hello Bluenose,
Charlotte’s Web, what a wonderful reminder. I have the same memories as you and the same reaction, although i still remember the devastation i felt as a boy and the reminder is still there watching it now.

Infiltrating to Indoctrinate Children
“Introducing: Woke Story Time with Priscilla Giddings”
Burn.Them All:
-
I have an aversion to burning books but yeah – Burn Them All.
-
I just learned that burning and boiling people alive was a clever workaround of death engineering to avoid spilling biblical blood. We must prepare for the Exodus and not be consumed by the morons and their devilish systems.
-
-
I wonder what she’d do with a set of children’s books from Thornton W Burgess? She’d be metaphorically burning helpless animals after all.

Chest beats as an honest signal of body size in male mountain gorillas
“Acoustic signals that reliably indicate body size, which usually determines competitive ability, are of particular interest for understanding how animals assess rivals and choose mates. Whereas body size tends to be negatively associated with formant dispersion in animal…[Read more]

The ability to attract the “best” mates does not always mean the male is the biggest, strongest, or most beautiful. In nature, the male attracts females to his territory. It can be through the best chest noise, the best accumulation of blue trinkets (bowerbirds), best location near water (most species), or biggest muscle car/wallet.…

The Culture series of novels by Iain M. Banks.

Last year I read an article that mentioned this was Jeff Bezos’ personal favorite book and book series.

Ah, the utopian petri-dish rep himself.

-
I found his character development to be a little weak, but then again his main thrust was an overarching exploration of just about everything else.
A gem of a fellow, gone much too soon. He was aware of his impending demise and wrote of it in advance with measured, calm words.

Bombshell Book in Germany Revives 9/11 as a Business Model

What’s really going on behind the scenes?
Still, a public policy that’s good; is better than one that seeks any kind of singularity, as a matter of policy. -
Will this just take the research darker? One wonders just what/who the connections are between east and west gov agencies, private corporations, and academia.

If theory doesn’t match reality then just make some adjustments to one or both until the desired outcome is attained. Then pass it on to the marketing department. Remember, there’s money to be made and minds to be swayed. Ethical issues can be glossed over by the marketing dept so science can continue down its road of control. Why you ask?…
