Very saddened today to learn of the death of Rush Limbaugh. On more than one occasion in the last thirty-plus years, I found myself grateful for him, for his major voice in media that more or less reflected, and genuinely shared, many of the things I believe in, and for letting us traditionalists know we are not alone. Rest in peace, Rush.

Thank you for sharing these works. As I listen to more and more of them, my appreciation grows (I will say that my preference is for JS vs. CPE – lol). Do you prefer CPE? and if so why?
-
I like them both equally, but for very different reasons.
-
Thank you for your response. I have a new question – what are your “different reasons”?

Dr. Farrell, I have moved this (noted below) question to the Fireside Chat.

Someone emailed me asking what the bumper music was for the old dialogues. It’s this (and don’t forget to check out the 1st movement of this one… it has an unblievable development section.) Anyway, it’s from the Harpsichord concerto in F Major, Wq12, III https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S07ahzAPXpA

Good morning Dr. Farrell,
Thank you once again, watching this piece visually scroll along is an encouragement for one to learn a beautiful universal language, I wonder on the average how long it would take .
-
I’m awestruck by composers’ and conductors’ ability to keep so many lines of music, from all those different instruments, in their mind at the same time, “hearing” them all simultaneously while writing or conducting the music. What a gift!
-
It definitely is not one dimensional music.

Even if Wood had made these accusations four years ago, nothing substantive would have been done about them. Making these accusations now is probably suicidal.
-
I agree, he is either crazy, or a device of the current regime, being employed to remind the chess pieces of their place.
-
Oh, Wood seems to be quite heroic, saying the right things for the right reasons. I salute him. I just think his heroism will be in vain. I hope, however, that I am completely wrong.

-
What did Twitter found out? That Joseph forgot to shave? I like his new look.

Seems due to latest News & Views.

I would prefer not to hang in there. Twitter needs to be shunned and ridiculed.

Yes. I just track.

Thanks for the update.
Well, being taken off Twitter in these days,
means being in good company -
Actually, I NEVER personally used Twitter. Whatever is posted there I believe is posted automatically. I have just DEACTIVATED the account.

It is time for all of us to deactivate from these blood suckers. I canceled my Amazon Prime account yesterday. Sorry Jeff. Hope your net worth starts dropping soon!
-
I remembered yesterday that you have said you didn’t use TWIT, therefore, was surprised your N&Vs was supposedly there. Thought maybe part of what Daniel was doing to promote GIZA. Noticed the subject N&Vs has been replaced on here. Disappointed – wanted to go back and examine more in detail.

had deactivate years ago from Twits and FB. Would like to see Giza also post vids to BitChute so that I can stop using or supporting Youtube completely ;)…Almost there…just a few more stragglers

I admit that I love it when the music accompanies these pieces. It has been a while since I was part of an orchestra or chorus, so listening to the alto, for example, by reading the music (since it is not the predominant voice) is particularly satisfying. Thank you, Dr. Farrell!
BTW, I received the Complete Flute Sonatas by JS Bach…

I do not post on Dr. Farrell’s work, but I know I have had several people thank me for posting my information. I post once a day with one post and one link. Is that really so bothersome to you folks? I just received a reply from Nidster that was a link to some very specific astrology information. I wouldn’t have gotten that anywhere…

Concert de Noël dans la Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris
-
Beautiful singing, beautiful setting! The Bach cello solo is superb too!
(Mais quels costumes bizarres pour une fête de Noël…)
(I get the hardhats, but the attire is a bit unusual for the occasion…)-
I tend to think the outfit was caused by an absurd adherence to the whims of french bureaucratic acolytes in order so the concert may be cancelled lest the performers be shamed and embarrassed by the spectacle. However, as I see it, this is a gigantic “fuck you” to Macron and his diminutive seat of power.
-
Not sure I understand. I can believe the bureaucrats would require safety hats. But the orchestra chose what clothes to wear. You think they chose the clothes in order to say, “OK, if you insist we dress up as workers, we’ll go all the way”–to show how absurd the safety regulations are?
-
I think it was probably mandated that the outfits were part of what was required to be in the building. This is a heritage site and would probably come under several bureaucracies.
It really doesn’t need to make sense, it’s bureaucracy.
-
-

-
The music is alright but more they dress up as “workers” the less convincing they are…

None there but angels…
